  Hatha Yoga

  This class combines mindful movement, both static and dynamic - vinyasas (breath-paired movement sequences), asanas (yoga postures) and breathing to improve strength, stability, flexibility, balance, concentration and general health (physical, mental and spiritual). Wear anything comfortable that allows your body to move freely and keep you warm and cozy.

  Restorative Yoga

  This class is appropriate for everyone - from the sedentary and low-energy to the elite athlete - we all need to de-stress and relax. It is a slow-paced, relaxing, gentle practice - the body is supported with the help of props such as straps, blocks and bolsters. - passive poses to soothe the body and still the mind. -breathing techniques and full-body guided relaxation - this practice helps prevent injury from tightness and tension, trains you to mentally slow down, prepares the body and mind for meditation, encourages greater self-awareness and calms the nervous system.

  An opportunity to join like-minded women from our resident club community and participate in a powerful women’s forum fostering friendship, connection, support, mindfulness and reflection. 

  Weekly protected time to meditate, relax, ground and center oneself.

  Benefits of women circles and meditation include for example, stress reduction, reduced blood pressure, increased awareness of self, improved sleep and increased connection to a community.

  Each week, a theme will be introduced, followed by an opportunity to discuss, share, learn and expand together.  Each circle will end with a guided meditation.

  Circle will be held in the clubhouse library on Tuesdays from 10:30am to 12:30pm - $40 per month or $10 per week.

  Age gracefully with Chow Qigong, a traditional Chinese form of exercises and a breathing science based on the knowledge and mastery of the vital energy (Qi). It is associated with slow movements, breathing exercises, meditation and concentration. Chow Qigong exercises all the joints and muscle groups in the body and helps to enhance mobility and overall health. Chow Qigong was created and developed by Grandmaster Dr. Effie Chow. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes (can be done barefoot as well).

  The aim of this course is to help get you started on your personal creative journey with acrylic paints. We will concentrate on understanding the materials and tools used with this medium. In the first weeks, we will do exercises to explore the fundamentals of color theory: hue, temperature, value and chroma. And in the latter weeks, you will work creating the illusion of 3D on 2D support, and end with a painting of a simple subject. Once you have registered, I will send you the supplies list.

  Let’s get All Aboard Our Mexican Train (Dominoes) nights.  For the next 6 months the Mexican train nights, played slightly differently from the winter games, will be held on the 2^nd Monday evening of each month in the Small Multipurpose room.

  The game will be played from 6:15pm – 8:30. Not too early, not too late and not too long of a night - just a way to meet some new people while you are having fun. (dinner is not included)

  Mexican Train (Dominoes) is a fun game that needs no prior experience.  All game equipment will be supplied; you just need to bring yourselves. This is open to singles or couples and will take place in the Small Multi purpose room upstairs.

  If you have never played Mexican Train, or if you need a refresher, no worries, we will teach you how to play.
